Public Projects

Work generally includes, but is not limited to, 2-inch to 3-inch HMA milling, 4-inch cold in-place recycling, 2-inch to 3-inch HMA inlay, 12-inch full depth HMA, sidewalk, curb, gutter, and curb ramp improvements, installation of storm drain inlets and other storm drain improvements, installation of traffic striping, pavement markings, and K71 reflective bollards, improvements at existing traffic signals, and installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons. The Project also includes a bid alternative for intersection street lighting improvements.

Description: Repair of sidewalks at 36 locations throughout the City including, but not limited to, removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk, concrete driveway approach, concrete curb and gutter, and as-needed tree maintenance work such as root shaving and root pruning.

Project consists of pavement repair on City arterial Buchanan Street at the section located between Pierce Street and Jackson Street and the arterial Marin Avenue between Jackson Street and San Pablo Avenue. Pavement repair generally consists approximately 2,700 square yards of 4-inch asphalt concrete pavement removal and replacement. Traffic striping within project limits will be refreshed, including traffic striping unaffected by the pavement repair. Additional pavement repair at a nearby location on Eastshore Highway between the driveway entrance to the Target shopping center and the driveway entrance to the Toyota of Berkeley Service Center is included as optional Bid Alternate A.

The City of Albany (City) is requesting proposals from licensed contractors to provide the City with on-call Public Right-of-Way (PROW) Construction Services. The City intends to issue several three-year term contracts to be used as the need arises. Services will be used for a variety of repairs and maintenance needs. Proposers are encouraged to focus on their areas of strength and are not required to team with a large number of subcontractors to cover all potential types of work. Proposals are not required to cover all scopes of work outlined in the Scope of Service.

The City intends to issue a three-year term contract with the option to renew at the end of the year for an additional year, for these services, to be used as the need arises.
